Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

It was the tensioner plastic pulley I believe. All plastic pulleys have issues eventually. Companies use the plastic to save weight and figure that the bearing will fail before the plastic does. What happens usually is the bearing starts to go the wheel spins less than the belt speed and the...

Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

As for trouble I had a plastic pulley disintegrate. Had to replace with a metal wheel. At around 90k. It shredded one half of the belt because the edge of the plastic had failed.

It is a VERY tight fit. So much so that I called velocity to ask if it was correct. It does go on however.

Basically two versions. Utility and lifestyle. They had the utility on there which was cloth seats and more “defenderish” and some of those plastics were preproduction printed plastics. I thought it was a great mix even so. Felt more Jeep than rover. The lifestyle will be very close to a...

Also some good info here from SA. Pretty sizable aftermarket interest already. Good companies making stuff at launch. And range of 500m maybe more. 23.75 gallon tank. So 21 mpg. Might differ here but probably not too much. Might have long range tank or water storage.

Just finished this event with Stuart Barnes. He made a transcript and took copious notes so I’ll let him voice that. We got to speak directly with Greg Clark. Asked tons of questions. Vehicle is badass. Better in person than online. Beefier, more aggressive looking, less awkward, big enough...

When is it time to say goodbye?

Past 100k miles, you will need a second vehicle if you want to be able to diagnose and solve problems without a rental/loaner. Rentals have been an expense for me. I dont like the dealers, but the indies dont have loaners, and even if i self diagnose and order the parts, it's not always...

    Door lock actuator

Well I am saying that it was the plastic cable that needed it for sure but it is hard to diagnose without term wrong it apart. Given the failure rate of these parts I went ahead and did it all. You have to take apart the entire door to get that one cable off of the actuator. And at that point...

    Door lock actuator

My passenger door lock stopped locking. You could open from exterior but it would set off the alarm. The actuator sounded like it was working but I remembered the rear hatch actuator still made the noise when it was failing. Anyway I ordered a new actuator and lock latch to actuator cable and...

2015 V6 coolant pipes done. Pics of old pipes

They are almost surely brittle at this point. When and how they choose to leak depends on a multitude of factors. Vibrations, torque while off-roading, temp swings, etc. If you plan on keeping the car for more than 15k miles go ahead and pay the money. My 2014 v6 pipes were toast at 55k. Had...

FYI fan relay went bad at 98k

Do you have a gap tool? Is your fan running at idle? Pop the hood with the AC on and feel if the fan is fully operational. With a gap tool you can see fan request versus actual. And AC compressor amps and evaporator temp. All the relays are in the engine junction box. The AC blower relay...

FYI fan relay went bad at 98k

He check them and they seemed fine. I think these mounts have been bad since 50k miles. I complained to the dealer about the downshift clunk when coasting and they told me it was normal.

FYI fan relay went bad at 98k

As a follow on to this, i think the engine mounts should be added to the list of items to serious look at at 75k miles. their failure can mean variety of unreliable issues crop up - torn/shredded belts from misaligned pulleys, frozen radiator fan, transmission clunk at slow rolling speed to...
