Rebuilt calipers and discs and pads? That should be good enough to do the trick. Rovers aren't the quickest when it comes to braking. Did you ever bleed the brakes? And if so, how did you do it?- Slam

stepper motor
No I don't think it should be moveable. You can pick up stepper motors for CHEAP if you search around the internet. I picked one up for $25 at Kragen so it was worth it to replace it IMO- Slam

Sounds like you got some problems. Sorry to hear that. Right rear sags? Do you have air suspension? No, I guess yours is too early for that. Why do you want to do the front end alignment? I think that is always best done by professionals with expensive machines. Is the low range knob...- Slam

Sounds strange that your starter would take out all of your electrics. Have you checked fuses? Sorry about the problems. Having AAA is priceless when you own an old rover.- Slam
