I'm a little stumped, would it make sense to start a new post on this? I believe the fuel pump driver module is stored at the back of the vehicle? I've not done anything back there other than store parts of the engine while doing the timing chains! Could it be anything to do with the sensor... -

Hi @Rover Range, sorry for the delay in responding, do you mean fuse F1, so the top left one in the following (25A): I checked all the fuses and they're all OK. I did pull this fuse (F1) while cranking the engine to try and get some oil distributed on the new chains, tensioners, etc. I did... -

Remember my last comment - horses for courses, tires are very much the same, given your location and snow I'd be going for winter tires; cross climate have a great reputation but if you live in a snow belt it's best to have winter tires. Dedicated winter tires make a huge difference. -

I did hear the loud pop; I'm still pondering this whole part of the procedure... If you re-use tensioners then you're highly unlikely to have grenade pins so I still wonder why the manual would detail this step... It's saying to remove the grenade pins and then re-tension the tensioners; it... -

Timing chain cover is back on, camshaft covers are back on, crank pulley is back on and secured with the M16 (24mm head) bolt. I was using a 1/2" breaker bar and a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter since the socket that comes with the pulley kit is 3/4" drive. I torqued the bolt up to 200Nm (147.5 ft-lbs)... -

I'm on the fence, it's not that hard to take the manifold off if needed... I'm starting re-assembly today (starring with the crank pulley) so I'll have to figure out along the way. The part ranges from $160 to about $190. I'm on the back off a lot of those costs; the most recent been a $190... -

I did but only because the manual says to do this; I wouldn't have pulled the pins unless told to do so. I understand that it's easy to accidently pull the pins during installation but that wasn't the case for me. -
