P0232-24 (28) Fuel pump A - secondary circuit high - General signal failure - signal stays high

With regards the H8 - I did read that when doing my battery research and took a look while in Costco but to be honest I didn't really want to deal with it on a cold winters evening and don't really need the extra capacity so I decided to skip this for now. I'm just happy to have the fault go...

P0232-24 (28) Fuel pump A - secondary circuit high - General signal failure - signal stays high

Folks - You are geniuses :). Battery failed the test at AutoZone (it was dated 10/2019 so not too bad of a run): A new one is $244.99, based on other reviews I went to Costco and bought an H7 Interstate AGM battery (currently it's $179.99); I installed it this evening and the engine fault is...

P0232-24 (28) Fuel pump A - secondary circuit high - General signal failure - signal stays high

Thanks for confirming this, did you ever fix the issue? I find it quite annoying but given the low temperatures won't be looking at the moment!

P0232-24 (28) Fuel pump A - secondary circuit high - General signal failure - signal stays high

So you reckon to look at the battery first? It starts really well and runs really well... (esp. with the shiny new timing chains :) )

P0232-24 (28) Fuel pump A - secondary circuit high - General signal failure - signal stays high

Hi Folks, following my recent Timing Chain endeavor, I'm getting the following code which returns immediately after it's been cleared: "P0232-24 (28) Fuel pump A - secondary circuit high - General signal failure - signal stays high" But unlike others, the truck runs absolutely fine, I've not...

    Shipping for Vacation

I think only you can make this decision, personally I'd look to take the $3K and see what I can rent that would be interesting to me (like a Defender!)... Good luck.

Looking to purchase timing chain tools

I'm a little stumped, would it make sense to start a new post on this? I believe the fuel pump driver module is stored at the back of the vehicle? I've not done anything back there other than store parts of the engine while doing the timing chains! Could it be anything to do with the sensor...

Looking to purchase timing chain tools

Hi @Rover Range, sorry for the delay in responding, do you mean fuse F1, so the top left one in the following (25A): I checked all the fuses and they're all OK. I did pull this fuse (F1) while cranking the engine to try and get some oil distributed on the new chains, tensioners, etc. I did...

2012 LR4 infotainment problem. Help please!

I had issues with my radio head unit where it wasn't saving the last station listened to (or favorites)... I ended buying a replacement head unit on eBay and have never looked back, here's the thread which also has some links on how to get in there (it's not terrible if you're somewhat handy)...

    LR4 winter tires - 2025 edition

Remember my last comment - horses for courses, tires are very much the same, given your location and snow I'd be going for winter tires; cross climate have a great reputation but if you live in a snow belt it's best to have winter tires. Dedicated winter tires make a huge difference.

Looking to purchase timing chain tools

Phew - you had me worrying! Here's the one remaining engine fault that I have... I'm not sure yet that I can tie it to anything? Other threads talk about battery and alternator but why would that suddenly start being an issue when it never was before the timing chains were done? Is there a...

    LR4 winter tires - 2025 edition

I saw Goodyear also have a new tire - WeatherReady 2, the jury is out but it also looks a lot like the Cross Climate 2.

Thank you once again Range Rover - This was the hose doesn't fit "bad day" that I had and like an idiot I posted the wrong photo (29th Dec), the next morning I installed the hoses like this, does this look correct (sorry it's not the best photo):

Here's the cooling hose mentioned above; the dangling pipe is not yet connected but connects to the water pump: Nearly there:

Looking to purchase timing chain tools

OK, I'm all back together and running :-). Here are the re-assembly steps as I recall: - Re-install valve covers slowly increasing bolt torques (bolts 6 and 9 are the tough ones to access); driver side is more difficult than the passenger side (due to AC lines and firewall) - Cleanout injector...

Tensioners - (for the timing chain) - what's the deal?

I did hear the loud pop; I'm still pondering this whole part of the procedure... If you re-use tensioners then you're highly unlikely to have grenade pins so I still wonder why the manual would detail this step... It's saying to remove the grenade pins and then re-tension the tensioners; it...

Looking to purchase timing chain tools

Timing chain cover is back on, camshaft covers are back on, crank pulley is back on and secured with the M16 (24mm head) bolt. I was using a 1/2" breaker bar and a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter since the socket that comes with the pulley kit is 3/4" drive. I torqued the bolt up to 200Nm (147.5 ft-lbs)...

Tensioners - (for the timing chain) - what's the deal?

I'm curious why the Land Rover workshop manual would have this procedure with the following warning: Perhaps there was an older generation of tensioner where this was required... The bottom-line is it's confusing which is why I started this post; I'm trying to leave breadcrumbs for others!

V8 5.0L Intake Manifold - what is the rear sensor?

I'm on the fence, it's not that hard to take the manifold off if needed... I'm starting re-assembly today (starring with the crank pulley) so I'll have to figure out along the way. The part ranges from $160 to about $190. I'm on the back off a lot of those costs; the most recent been a $190...

Correct, but why the procedure, do you do it when changing the chains?

Tensioners - (for the timing chain) - what's the deal?

I did but only because the manual says to do this; I wouldn't have pulled the pins unless told to do so. I understand that it's easy to accidently pull the pins during installation but that wasn't the case for me.

Tensioners - (for the timing chain) - what's the deal?

I believe they are pre-primed but that's also why I was asking the question, go back to the original post and see what I posted from the workshop manual; they spell out this procedure but it's not clear to me why??? I did it anyway!...
