i just went through this on my 07 HSE. it ended up costing me $10k to get all new stuff into the truck and the OEM head unit needed to be retained so its sitting in my glovebox. If LR4 is anything like the RR id say stay away...

I really have no idea. I can say with certainty there hasnt been a drop on the floor as i have light grey epoxy that shows everything. As ive mentioned the dash oil indicator never showed more than asking for 1 qt. I have put 500 miles on it and i have this:
i took it in for oil change which they did. Drove home a few miles and for whatever reason i decided to check the oil on the dash. i was getting 2 different readings using the hood open and hitting the cancel button vs the regular way. it said add a qrt so i did. my gut told me to bring it back...
my tech was convinced they just forgot to put the new oil in at the last service. luckily i didn't drive the car much. then they did another oil change, and a few days later there was oil missing again and the dash oil monitor had no clue.
