as i said i just had the timing chain done in my 2011 SC. im sending an oil sample to blackstone for analysis. i did annual oil changes since new with some intervals being as high as 15k miles. will let everyone know what comes back from the analysis.
he replaced plenty as in after they failed and the motor went poof? or he replaced man 2013s after he heard the noise? i have 85k miles on my 2013 and zero timing chain flapping noise like i have on my 2011 RR SC. An independant just did my 2012 SC for 4k versus the 7100 land rover wanted.
rarely do people see 13k bills on ferraris from 2012!
dealer just charged me 1500 for replacing one front strut which shld have been about 600.
its why i usually never go to the dealer.
Unfor the car went into limp mode so my wife drove it to the dealer. They replaced the compressor for 500 and then saw the front driver corner wasnt coming back up.

5w-20 is an odd oil in a day and age where 0w-40 is readily available. is there any rational as to why 5w 20 might be better? 0 is better at startup and 40 is better at operating temps
i hear ya. i fall into the "ful synthetic oil is full synthetic oil" camp. Ill report back (hopefully) when my LR4 has 200k miles and still running smoothly!
