Just finished the job.. Huge thanks, this write-up made it a breeze...!:biggrin: I did the diffs first, as they used the same fluid and I didn't want to contaminate the pump with transfer case fluid in the middle of the job.. 58919 on the clock, no idea if the fluids were changed before... -

Mine does this, and it is starting to bug me as that sound must mean undue friction.. When I get home Friday I'll shoot some lithium grease up there and report back.. Then I'll tackle the squeaking gear selector.. Mike -
LR4 V8 owners - check the coolant level in your expansion tank
In my case, any time I trigger the extended warranty I have to pay the deductible.. Which has been painless so far, as the $2K in repairs has been worth the $100. :biggrin: Mike -
Annoying Squeaking Noise
Does it happen when going over bumps, or just driving along flat road? Sometimes bushings can do this, and they just had your front end apart so one might have got pinched upon re-assembly. -
