Yeah, a much shorter wheel base will have a rougher ride. But the flip side as you know is its more maneuverable. The only related situation I noticed in mine was the front end seemed to plant down then come back up more when coming to a complete stop more so than my last car that had springs...- powershift

If it has an air suspension it would feel soft. Cushy is how mine feels. Look underneath at the control arms and look for springs. Some people want to convert the air suspension to have springs instead. Even if you have springs, you could fix it with proper shocks that work with proper springs.- powershift

Sounds like a good plan. The new spare tire winch I bought for $150 back in February broke and it didn't even have one full cycle on it. No idea, but the Loctite is specific about the gap height its tested to fill where as Permatex doesn't offer that spec and the Permatex has complicated instructions that I wouldn't want to deal with. I personally would get the loctite.- powershift

I realized that if I get tires now then the tire shop is likely going to spin the caps on the lug nuts with the impact. With the extra side wall, will you rub if the air suspension drops to its bump stops? I drove on bump stops for the first time today so now I'm thinking oversized tires or too oversized tires would have stranded me right there in the middle of the road.- powershift

I did, the voltage was 12.8V when the ignition wouldn't turn on. The problem does seem related to bumps in a big way. I'm going to drop the skid plate tomorrow and check the electrical connections. I like the internally shorting battery idea, it makes great sense and pretty exciting lol.- powershift

They are the original make/model but not original tires. They had probably 10k mi on them when I bought it, plenty of tread left. The PCV valves are original, ~108k mi now. Replacing them luckily looks straight forward, but I've never dealt with the PCV valve before on any engine. There is oil/dirt residue that wasn't around the port previously at 101k mi. The oil/dirt around the oil filter housing wasn't present either...- powershift

I checked the Wix air filters and took a pic of it along with a shot of the amazing flashlight (Acebeam L35), it works well to see any animals stalking me at night as well as inspecting the engine, like cracks on the serpentine belts for example.
