If you drill it put a strong vacuum nozzle against it so the material doesn't get into the cooling channels.- powershift

Vacuum pump leak
It stank on the way home after they replaced the part, but before I left he said to give it 3 days for the residue to burn off. He also checked the valve covers and there wasn't any oil residue. I'm not that hopeful tbh but I won't know until I give it more time.- powershift

Yeah, that sound right that they probably didn't remove the fluid. The front-end guy said that is how they are supposed to do it. Remove the fluid, add fluid and then bleed with a vacuum bleeder. I didn't lube it but there was coolant in the hole so hopefully it will be fine. The old pipe looked just fine to me, but I wouldn't have known that w/out replacing it. Unless there was a weak point unseen I'd guess it had at least 20k left on it but who knows.- powershift

They did work on the fuel rail since they needed to pull the injectors for some reason. They bought new injector seals. The starting isn't "bad" per say, but the start behavior is different. Rear crossover pipe screw stripped..
That doesn't look stripped out, but there might be some rounded corners that the pic doesn't show. Try putting your left hand on the ratchet pivit point/ratchet head and push towards the bolt before using your right hand to rotate the ratchet handle to hold the bit in there so it doesn't slide...- powershift

Think these will fit?
I'd hit that caliper bracket with an angle grinder. Those silver rims look good on the LR3 with the Land Rover center caps. But if the BMW that they came from weighs less than the LR4 I wouldn't put them on or I wouldn't carry a full load.- powershift
