    Sounds pretty involved but probably a lot better than paying a mechanic. A diesel heater would go a long ways to warm everything up. I bought a Chinese version with automatic elevation adjustments for $110 and its pretty amazing what it can do for the cost.

    Mine didn't have codes before the chain was replaced. I was just making suggestions since its hard to tell what the problem is from here. It is possible that misfires and too much slack in the chain are related, if in fact your chain has too much slack.

    That Toyo tire seems to be the most aggressive tread pattern I've seen for the LR4. I planned to get that one next. The thump timing seems faster than an outer tire rotation.

    ZF8HP70 for ZF6HP28 swap?

    For the 2012 model year 4th gear tops out at 121 MPH according to a brochure. 4th gear is a beauty. I can't wait to be on private roads in Mexico to wind it out. It does seem like a plausible claim because it will do 100 MPH easily.
