Sometimes my BT connection acts up and I'll turn up the volume but don't hear ****. Then if I get it working I have that **** blasting ear piercingly loud. I've learned when I don't hear audio, don't keep turning it up lol. If there was a number that I could use for a volume level that would be...
That looks a lot like the versions sold on ebay. I'm glad there are options lol. Land Rover didn't cheap out on the materials of the original. The cable looks good too, beefy and strong. I'm starting to think this part was intended to fail.
My concern with the 3rd party winches is they have the...
I'd love to have a bone yard around with Land Rovers. When I was a kid we had them in our area and when doing repairs that was a big savings. Then Pull-your-part came in and that made it even cheaper. My old '99 Camaro Z28 SS w/LS1 had one of its T-Tops blow off on the freeway and there was a...
They could be guide pins, they need to be drilled out or cut off. I don't have the tools so it looks like I'll need to replace it. British Atlantic has one but it has an eye hole for the crank shaft and not a bolt like the original. Its also $180 vs $453. I would normally think to go original...
Mine can idle a little funny, but its not a defect or a problem. It has a tame rumpity, _rump muffled sound like it has an aggressive cam lope. Give it slight gas and it clears up. Post a vid of your idle problem.
I pulled the w_ench out of there to inspect it. It has rivets for each side of the case. Did you drill out the rivets to open it?
The unit doesn't look serviceable by design. I called the Local Land Rover and they want $453 inc. tax for a new one. No wonder they don't want anyone opening it. I...
The tire light went off on its own. Then on the freeway the check engine light came on in solid yellow. I just kept driving to Vegas and back. It runs strong and smooth. I've been driving it since July without any problems. 102k miles on it. I need to check the codes.
While getting the tire...
The kit I bought was cheap asf made in China. It had a reaming tool that I put in there before honing the hole out with a drill bit. Then the plug insertion tool had a rounded end to it so it was a b to try to hammer on or push on it. My last hole I plugged was from a rock and it was pretty easy...
I woke to beautiful snow and then a flat tire this morning and thought no problemo, I've got the plug kit, tire compressor and a spare. What happened was the screw hole was too small for the plug kit and it would have been better to either simply air up the tire keeping the screw in there an an...
I had a no-start condition today. I pushed the Start button and it cranked for probably 10 seconds until I pushed the start button again to stop the attempt. I began to worry while at the gas station and started to hear people laugh at me saying I shouldn't have bought a Land Rover. It turns out...
The LR4 is perfect for overlanding offroad. I'd like to get the BFG K02's, but will need to settle for another tread pattern because they don't offer them in the LR4 size. There is the Toyo Open Country A/T III or the BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A. The Toyo looks more aggressive for desert and...
When I was shopping for an LR4 looking at service records, there were fuel pump replacement records. 140k miles on it is pretty good i think. I'm not an expert in this area but for me I'd want to do the preventative maintenance and change the fuel filter too. If you are more of a reactive person...
The oil leak could be from the brake vacuum pump. Mine was leaking there before I had it replaced. Its used to pre-pressurize the hydraulic braking system. Its a DIY job.
With it running fine it will be hard to determine if the new sensor fixes it. My service history (same year as yours) shows the fuel pump was replaced at 91k mi. How many miles does yours have on it? I'd be replacing it regardless of the sensor results.
The weather forecast was for an atmospheric river to arrive yesterday and once the rain clouds started rolling in at 9 AM I had this burning desire go off-roading and explore the desert in the rain lol. Probably not the best idea since there is flash flooding here that can be strong and serious...
