Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

I'm with jwest and avslash on this one...there are several youtube videos and forums w/pics on how to replace air struts if not experienced; this is what I relied on when installing spacers on air struts (to help drive or get off trail if air compressor goes belly up), pretty easy once you've...

    LR4 on 33's

James, these wheels should have been my first mod, that's how much I like them. It's a noticeable difference on the trails having the extra sidewall when aired down, the ride is smoother and I'm not as worried about slicing the sidewall, which I did when slightly airing down 19". Also, so many...

    LR4 on 33's

Bryan I have 18” wheels from Lucky8...on my 2012 LR4...bought5 for under $1000. If you’re looking for 18s, why not these?

    LR4 on 33's

I’m interested in feedback following install/mods...I have 275/65r18 (32.1”) KO2s, along with strut spacers, wheel spacers, and lift rods and I had to do a good amount of cutting of my sliders and frame (horns) and plastic in both front wheel wells. Ask the shop if they do any cutting as most...

Replacement of Air Strut Assembly: 06 LR3 HSE

I typed in “replace LR4 air strut” and watched oxmanagain and arnott YouTube videos. I slowly released air out of front valve block, removed air strut, installed spacers and replaced. Rear, I had to slowly leak air directly from top of each air strut. Easier that way. And repeated process...

the true costs of running lift rods

I use lift rods full time in order to actually have clearance between my 33.5” tires and my LR4 wheel well, otherwise there would only be about 2” separating the two. Off road is where the lift rods have paid the most dividends. I’ve noticed with additional height I rarely bottom out on trails...

LR4 Power Steering Fluid Flush Questions

I am trying to completely flush and refill my power steering fluid in my 2012 LR4. I referenced the Arnott youtube video where he flushed his LR3's power steering fluid in which he gained access to the hose in/through his driver's side wheel-well. I removed the plastic cover in my driver's...

Cost to replace one front strut

jwest, loosening and removing the inner-most nut on top of each rear strut took forever. I'm sure I just didn't have the right tools, but there was limited space in there, even from the rear of the vehicle and I could only turn my ratchet so far each turn.

    Another tire/wheel thread: 19" vs 18"

Fozzy325, regarding the wheels, I have no complaints and I would absolutely purchase these again...my favorite upgrade to my LR4. Looking back at all my mods, if these wheels would have been available when I first began mod'ing my truck, these wheels (and tires) would and should have been my...

Cost to replace one front strut

Avslash is absolutely correct, that is exactly what I did...I recently added spacers to my struts, which required me to pull out every single air strut. I have limited experience working on vehicles and that was my first time working with any type of suspension. Front struts were actually not...

    2011 lr4 tires with 19 rims

Went with the BFG KO2 275/65r18. Required some cutting of the frame horns and plastic in front wheel wheel. Back was fine. Also used spacers from lucky8. Great so far but they were worthless in some mud on switchbacks other day...which I guess is why they have KMs

    2011 lr4 tires with 19 rims

Bikrover, I have 4 19" LR4 wheels with 255/55R19 tires each with TPMS installed for sale if you're interested ($600). Three of the tires are Cooper Zeon LTZ and one is a Goodyear Duratrac as I popped my other Cooper in Moab and no-one for 750 miles had another Cooper, so had to buy the...

    Another tire/wheel thread: 19" vs 18"

Yes, Lucky8 has the spacers as well. All in all, 5 wheels and 4 spacers were still half the price of compomotives.

    Another tire/wheel thread: 19" vs 18"

I have a 2012 LR4 and I've had both 19" and 18" wheels. Most of my driving is highway, but I hit the trails 1-2 weekends per month. I had the Cooper Zeon LTZ 255/55/19 tires for 1.5 years and they were great. However, when airing down there is practically NO sidewall and my tire separated...

    Showoff Your LR4

Getting a uniform spool is fine, actually have decent amount of space around drum... issue is I can’t engage the free spool lever, so takes a bit more time, but hasn’t been an issue. I have a superwinch tiger shark 9500, so had to remove solenoid cuz no room for solenoid on top of...

I know this has been asked before, but which oil to use in the LR4 2016 model?

I use Mobil1 5W-20 with the mityvac, easiest and cleanest oil change ever.

    Showoff Your LR4

Thanks. Yes I’m using spacers. Tires are 275/65r18. Wheels and spacers are from lucky8. I also installed proud rhino off road extension kit which I put spacers on top of air struts and used lift rods to fit tires...once again from lucky8. The rear tires don’t rub at all, but the front rubbed...

    Gobi Roof Rack

I like the price...free! The ladder is solid and I have no complaints. In the future I plan on installing a rear tire carrier and jerry can(s) holder and I don't know if the ladder will interfere with the jerry can holders...I've seen some setups that don't have the ladder. However, when the...

    Gobi Roof Rack

I have a 2012 LR4 with the Gobi stealth roof rack and can honestly say it is my favorite and most used modification of everything I’ve done. The family and I use it so much and in so many different ways. The convenience of being able to walk on it to me is worth the investment...makes loading...

15’ LR4 Roof Racks and equipment.

As with most things off road, it really depends on what and how you're going to use it. I didn't mean to infer that the Prospeed wasn't a good option, because it absolutely is. I agree with iSurfvilano in that the Prospeed rack is very low profile and a very capable rack...and still think it is...

    Anyone with ProSpeed sliders?

Red Lightning, great point, but I was planning on sticking with Tactical Rover...and I have not added any additional body armor as of yet. Although, I'll be under and around the LR4 a lot this weekend as I'm installing the Proud Rhino SYA Off Road Extension Kit, which adds spacers on top of the...

15’ LR4 Roof Racks and equipment.

Went with the Gobi Roof Rack (stealth). I picked the low profile stealth over the ranger due to the LR4 being my daily driver. Chose because I can walk all over the roof rack, which I always am when loading the LR. Based on it's chicken-wire like floor appearance, endless supply of hooking...
