P0526-17 (28) Fan speed sensor circuit - General electrical failure - circuit voltage above threshold

Yup! That’s the same code. Weird, I’m very sure it’s voltage related and we probably have the same issue. I’ll be around the car more in the summer to tinker and play with a few things. I’ll keep you posted if I find anything but I suspect it’s ground related (I’ve replaced the alternator so I’m...

P0526-17 (28) Fan speed sensor circuit - General electrical failure - circuit voltage above threshold

I've had voltage issues for a long time with my car, some that I'm still chasing down. I tend to get this code along with a fuel pump code (if i remember correctly its one of the high pressure fuel pump) for the circuit staying high. What I noticed is that it would trigger when my voltage would...

Sudden Hissing near Valve Cover (5.0 V8)

Definitely PCV valves. Funny story I had the same issue minus the white smoke. Ironically I had also just done a decarb on the intake valves right before I noticed the hissing so I assumed that I didn't seat the intake right. So I took another 2 hours pulling off the intake, seeing that all the...

    2016 LR4 Landmark with bi-colored hood

Wonder how much more value it would bring to the table if it were a 10-13 with the V8.

    Where is my coolant going??

I would do a combustion leak tester on the expansion tank just to rule out the worst. in all honestly I have the same problem right now and haven't gotten around to testing it because I've been away from my LR4. checked water pump and cross overs when I did an intake decarb in December and they...

heated windshield on -> voltage drops to 12.7

IID tool, I could give you more accurate readings tomorrow. The heated windscreen works great, both sides work flawlessly. I just found it extremely odd that a factory component would tank my voltage that badly, I’ve read so many times that these trucks should not have voltage readings outside...

heated windshield on -> voltage drops to 12.7

Been chasing down a lot of electrical issues recently, while I was trying to figure out why my car voltage reads a constant 14.5v rather than 13.7-14.2 I discovered that when I turn on my heated windshield my alternator load will quickly go from around 30% to 100% load and pull around 100 amps...

Three amigos after getting to operating temp.

It’s all related, suspension will lower, transmission fault will display, no special programs or HDC, traction control, the whole system will shut down when there is some type of wiring issue. A couple of years ago I got a subwoofer installed and while routing the positive cable through the...

Three amigos after getting to operating temp.

does the code just appear when you start the car or does it trigger when you try to use the shifter. if it comes on right when you start the car then it sounds electrical. Does the transmission shift into gear despite the code? If it doesn’t then it could be the bridge seal and mechatronic...

When is it time to say goodbye?

Yeah they normally are automatic and I don’t even think you can see the faults unless you have good scanner. But yeah, the reason I know is because of the gap tool, and then I experience it when I go skiing.

When is it time to say goodbye?

is it both seats or just one? if its both front seats then its probably a fuse.

When is it time to say goodbye?

I used to think they were heater elements, they're actually radio antennas. I will say though that the heated mirrors tend to go on these cars, I need to try to clean the connections on my drivers side mirror to try to revive it.

Intermittent clicking sound at idle 5.0L V8

I second this, would do some investigating around the fan shroud, but just based off of the sound I'd guess fan clutch guess fan clutch before anything timing or injector related.

    Auxiliary Battery

Here's your passage with corrected spelling, grammar, and punctuation while keeping it as original as possible: It's 100% accurate. Rod bearings in any engine experience the most wear when the vehicle is started up. The oil pumps in engines made today and in the past are predominantly...

    Auxiliary Battery

I understand the intent of helping Mother Nature but this feature eats rod bearings for breakfast on any car, especially when the oil is cold.
