I said to Toby (my mad (sorry mildly eccentric) Springer Spaniel) this morning, 'Smell that? You smell that? A V8 son! Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of a V8 in the morning. You know, the smell of warm oil and petrol, the deep throaty burble of the twin exhausts walk around the beast and listen to the viscous fan, the burbling of the exhaust the smell, you know that gasoline smell, there is no ecomentalism to be found here son, the whole lane, it smells...(deep sniff and contemplation)...smells like victory. Someday this war's gonna end... and the ecomentalists will realise that V8's are environmentally friendly and actually, they are powered by recycled dinosaurs and trees...........you don't get more environmentally friendly than that do you son?'
