i like the language...reminds me of yoda.
as far as the tailgate goes...mine creeks and moans like crazy. i find it extremely annoying but contribute it to part of the "land rover experience" (as does the service manager at my crappy local LR dealership). if anyone has an easy fix, i would be interested in hearing about it as well.
on a side note, we just had some work done on my wife's 10 year old lexus at the local lexus dealership. they should offer an internship program for LR service managers to learn about hiqh quality service and customer satisfaction. it almost makes want to buy a lexus. too bad i don't like any of their vehicles.

does the squeak happen when you open the tail gate..when you are in motion?
