Can anyone identify this slow ticking noise?
Mine does that also and if you go to buy one there is a statement that these clutches tick for about 3 minutes. It could be normal. Does the fan free spin with a slight drag? -

The up stream and down stream O2s compares what is going into Cat. and what is coming out. There is some value the vehicle is set at. This may tell you if the Cat. is clogged or damaged. -

Your chain looks fine, my engine is noisy also. The fuel pump makes most of the noise and the injectors, well I have seen quieter ones (2000 Isuzu Trooper). -

I only have a fax report so it appears maybe they followed the once a year change by Land rover. It makes since because most engines use 4.5 quarts w filter so Land rover double the capacity and the oil filter appears to be much larger than an equivalent cartridge filter. -

Timing parts purchased are quite different
The angle of contact was changed by land rover due to the initial engineering design flaw with the tensioner arm. I bought a set of LR and they are stamped FOMOC Ford motor corp. As to the quality, you may get a good part. I have experienced that some of LR parts are of questionable quality... -

Oh yeah, you might want to have them check the rear steel brake lines for rusting out at the frame mounting point. I recently replaced the 2 front calipers due to a sticking issue which caused the car to pull heavily to the left above speeds of 65 mph only during raining condition, weird. But... -

Hello, I have a 5.0 L 2011 LR4 and I have a slight rattle from the tension arms wearing (chain are not stretching) but it does not sound this loud. Look in the valve cover oil fill neck and see if you can take a long flat tip screw driver and flex the timing chain. The car performs well but... -

2005 LR3 Brake line replacement
I have the same issue on a LR4 2011. In 2014 LR came out with a fix, splice into line above the muffler. PN: LR056967 LH Rear, PN: LR056968 RH Rear. I have attached the TSB. No body lift required if the damage is in this area. -

Problem when locking the car.
I had this problem also when I bought my Lr4 2011 used. Long story short, I found all doors locked but the one that did not work (front passengers side). I replaced the electronic locking mechanism in the door and the issue never occurred again. PN:LR091350 rt front door -

Oil in intake manifold
Yes you can buy a replacement pcv LR133579. Plastic cap must be removed by lifting six tabs and prying up on cap at the same time. -

LR4 front fuel pumps
The job requires the right side items in the engine compartment to be moved. Remove fuel line etc., similar to a timing chain job but can be done with a little patience. -

I currently have P0172 Bank 1 rich. I cleaned the sensors and it returned within 1 mile of driving. I have ordered 2 PCV valves because a stuck open valve will allow more unburnt gases than normal and richen the right side. If that does not fix then I will move the sensor to the other side... -
