Looking at 2012 vs 2014 Supercharged sport. Wheel question...
Hello, I have a '05 LR3 that I have done lot of work on. I am keeping it (I think) and getting either a '12 or '14 RR Sport supercharged. A couple questions: 1. Is the unibody 2014 inferior for offroad and pulling a small trailer? I see it is 800lbs lighter. 2. Would my LR3 spec'd wheels...- Delray

Thanks jbrincks, it turns out not as much oil was in there as I thought. More of an oil coating than anything else. I cleaned it out and got everything back together. Does anyone know why you need to remove the radiator access panel on the bottom/front of the vehicle? The drawing here shows... -

Okay, no replaceable gasket on the throttle body. That was a surprise. Question on oil in the intake manifold. I can see down the throat of my LR3 with the throttle body removed. It looks like oil coating the inside and pooling in areas toward the back, maybe 1/8 of an inch. Is this... -

So looking to replace the thermostat assembly I need to remove throttle body. I should have ordered gasket for throttle. Anyone salvage the old one? I would generally not do that, but need my vehicle monday Thanks! -

Parts are ordered. This is the only process for flushing the antifreeze that I was able to come across. If there is an improved or preferred method, would love to hear it: 1 . Position the vehicle on a lift. 2 . Set the heater controls to maximum. 3 . Disconnect the battery ground cable... -

Bits Breaking/falling off...
Thanks Houm, the rubber mallet did not work as the fastener/receivers (or whatever holds the pins) were too worked/open. Epoxy did work however :-) It looks like Land Rover (or previous owner) put some kind of stretchy glue in those fasteners previously. -

Thanks for looking that up Houm_WA. It does not appear to be broken off of anything as the ends are finished and there was no glue or residue that I could find. So, should I just go ahead and replace both primary and secondary belts, both primary and secondary tensioners, and replace idler pulley with updated idler pulley while I have it apart...or is this overkill? Thanks! -

Driver Seat Power Height adjustment failed
Weird ghost in the machine. I went to the passenger side to see if the height adjustment worked there. It did. I returned to the driver side and amazingly the control started working again. I don't know if the two are connected somehow electronically? Maybe just a coincidence. -

Driver side door wont lock
Same problem here. I sprayed the mechanism the best I could with WD-40, it will lock if I push the lock button on the FOB twice. If not, then the alarm goes off when I open the door just as you have described. -

standard 5 seats or 7 seater?
It is removeable, and you can sell them for a good price (I paid $1250 plus shipping for mine at Roverland parts). You would need to include seatbelts (which can be unbolted from below and by popping off the plastic rear panels at the back of the vehicle where they come out of). Also the carpet... -

Spray Painting Wheels
Hey, what do the spacers accomplish (since these are stock wheels - right?) Just push the wheel farther toward the outside. Is it an aesthetic thing? Mine are already really pushed out having a different backspace/offset (aftermarket). I did not know if that was good or not good :-) Thanks. -

Its possible my fault was caused by something else. It was parking brake and HDC fault. No special programs available. Not sure if I was locked in normal or access height. I would like to put one of my old/OEM wheels under as a spare, but sounds like I need something closer to the other tires. -
