    Future LR Models in US

The prototype interior of the Discovery 5 I sat in still had a very usable 3rd row. Definitely more leg room than an X5, but maybe slightly less than an LR4. It didn't seem quite so high either. Less of a stadium seating effect than the LR4.

    Future LR Models in US

The model we saw was bigger than the newly announced Discovery Sport on the landroverusa.com site, it was definitely more in line with the Discovery Vision concept. The newly announced Discovery Sport definitely looks to be an LR2 replacement. Based on what we saw I think they are trying to...

    China and Land Rover Shortages

A rumor in a recent focus group I was in was that the new Saudi Arabia plant might be used for new Discovery Vision and Defender models in the US.

    Future LR Models in US

 "Rolling Coal", I had never heard that, I love it. I just shake my head at those idiots. I am not at all against anyone's right to burn whatever fuel and whatever amount they want (be that in a Prius or a Powerstroke), but do they have to be so antagonistic about it? I saw a guy the...

    Future LR Models in US

Toddjbb, I totally agree with you. It felt like the Discovery Vision would be the "sport" in the Land Rover brand and the Defender would be the utilitarian (with a swanky interior) option. Our group felt the Defender concepts were closer in spirit to the Discovery heritage. Oh, and they asked...

    Future LR Models in US

I just got called out of the blue by a third party market research firm. I think it was a combination of where I live (Colorado) since about half the participants were from Colorado and that I was an owner of a 2013 LR4.

    Future LR Models in US

The Defender models we saw were exterior only (no functional mechanical bits or interior) They looked fairly road worthy, meaning they didn't look very much like a concept only, you could see it being actually manufactured that way. If memory serves they had flush mount door handles, that may...

    Future LR Models in US

The Vision concept we saw did not have a functional interior, but they had a sort of dummy Vision that had a non functional interior (electronic bits were just static screens, buttons did not function). But there was no mention of the "event platform". The mocked up interior seemed fairly...

2013 LR2 - how to lock doors manually?

Do LR2's not have a little button on the exterior door handle that uses the proximity key to lock like my LR4? I was fairly sure a loaner LR2 had that...

    Future LR Models in US

Hi all, I got back from a Land Rover design focus group session a few weeks ago. I just thought everyone would be interested in what we saw there. I did not sign any kind of non-disclosure documents of any kind, so feel I can share what we saw. However, they were very tight on confirming we...

    cooper zeon ltz

DH_07, I noticed you switched to the Zeons. I was just reading an older post where you put the 255/60-19 GY Wrangler Adventure tires on. Now that you have had both which do you prefer? I just got back from a fairly rocky off-road session in the stock Continentals and I was dismayed that the...
