    Front End Knocking

Also check the steering input shaft. There is a TSB addressign that as well. I had a rattle felt in the steering wheel, noticed the most when off road, rocky. I had the bushings replaced and it helped but did not eliminate it. The steering input shaft corrected what the bushing did not fix.

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

I pushed the hitch as far back as possible and had an inch of interference. I was planning on pulling out the die grinder to make it fit but decided to return it. 4-post lift, nice, Man, I hope the lift is installed with strong anchor bolts.

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

I ended up returning the Curt hitch, it did not work with the full size spare ( I should have done my homework). Also, If you remove the Curt hitch you will spend a lot of time on your back trying to fish the fastners out of the chassis frame. I found a used Land Rover hitch for $250 which was...

Anyone going to the LR National Rally from SE US area?

Check out a few websites Colorado4x4.org and traildamage.com for lots of information on trails in Co. I do some moderate trails with a stock LR3 w/ HD pacakage and have heard a few scrapes here and there nothing too bad. But what I have found is most trails are marked and the tougher...

    Brake pads

I've run the Akebono pads on another car and the switch from metalic to ceramic was great for having clean wheels but I felt the stopping power wasn't there. I bed the pads in as directed per Akebono, then tried again a few months later a little more aggresively. All I can tell you my wheels...

    Brake pad wear sensor problem

I would guess the dealer pulled the codes to determine there was a bad sensor. It could also be an issue with the connector in the wheel well. You should be able to verify if the sensor is bad by checking it with a multimeter. If it is not the sensor, then you need to move up to the...

    New LR3 owner

Nice, I would guess it has the Heavy Duty package. When we gout our 06 last Oct, just about everyone I looked at had the locking diff and full size spare. It must be more common in Colorado,

    How to "de-funk" damp carpets?

I would get it done by a pro. A professional detai shop should have some good cleaners and know how to get it clean and musty free. If you want to do it yourself, try a baking soda based carpet cleaner that you pour onto the carpet and vacuum up.

    Brake Pad Choices?

Thanks Looks like they are semi metallic and the fronts are $70. I would go with the OEM Ferodo pads which are about $20 more than PepBoys.
