I have to do both of mine this summer and reseal my upper timing covers. The hard part is pulling the injectors and buying the tool to do so. Then since your pulling them you might as well get them cleaned.- Jimmy Brooks

head gasket... sorry to be the bearer of bad news. these are all just classic bad head gasket symptoms. I believe you can buy a tester kit to put on top of the expansion tank and it will turn a fluid a certain color if there are exhaust gasses in the coolant. thats the first thing I would do...- Jimmy Brooks

Long crank, no faults

Greasy transmission, should I be worried?
I’ve had mine done when my trans blew. Wouldn’t even touch one unless you already have to remove the trans. In another note, the D5 with the SCV6 that my parents have had to get one done at 30k miles under warranty, that one was probably just bad luck tho.- Jimmy Brooks

Different oil level readings with hood open
do you guys ever use the "oil level calculated" value in the IID tool? When I do an oil change I measure that value right 20 mins after changing the oil and then I will occasionally check that value when the car is cold, fill it a bit, start the engine and run it for 5 seconds and then shut it...- Jimmy Brooks

It is, I've been spectating the leak for ages. my upper timing cover is covered in oil fuzz and it starts to get liquid residue right under the passenger side upper timing cover. Alternative sound system
Positive is routed from the battery and then grounded to one of the ground points for the taillights. You don’t want to ground anything to the battery negative terminal because it messes with the charging system.- Jimmy Brooks
