i wouldnt take my jetta to best buy...go to a reputable shop...not a hack shop.
especially with a Land Rover, you need to goto a shop that specializes in high end vehicles
mine resets to default occasionally...thats the only problem ive had...that and the fact the head unit doesnt resume the same sat screen when you shut the car off, it always resets to sat one but retains the last station you were on...just a minor annoyance.

you have a bad seal somewhere...most likel the injector seals...but there is noy way to know for sure which one/ones it is without physically inspecting it....
im confused...you have a remote that you cant program so you want to get the homelink for yours? is that correct?
if that is the case then homelink will not work for you, as programming your hand held remote is almost the same steps as programming the home link..
