iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!
IOS5 is working well in my 2010 LR4 I can get Pandora and Radio Paradise to play uninterrupted. However, I must let the iPhone play some local music, and then, without stopping it, fire up Pandora or Radio Paradise. Seems to work well, and it didn't work under iOS4.- dstrickler

Deal will replace the cable under warranty I spoke with them yesterday, and they said I had to bring in the entire car so they could verify it was a cable that needed replacing. That's the bed news. The good news is they said they have the cable in stock and it should be covered under warrenty.- dstrickler

iPhone cable broke after less than a year ... and we only drive about 10k miles a year. Very disappointing. It will charge the phone, but both my phone and my wife's give a "device error" on the LR4 when connected. Time to hunt down a new cable.- dstrickler

I just finished a single car ride, and Pandora worked just fine in my US purchased LR4. Only the volume seemed unavailable, and thus controlled by the LR4. I was able to navigate around the iPhone, choose Pandora, and it played just fine. As this was an initial test, don't count on...- dstrickler

I have an LR4 (purchased in April) and I have the same issues. My wife's 3GS always connects, and seems to work fine. With my 3GS I need to "connect" it each time I am in the car. Just find out the dealer price for your car. You can google it, and you'll find out quickly. Even if a dealer sells for it for "cost" (in theory, making zero dollars), they will still be making money through various methods, typically in incentives from LR. Nav can't change destination when driving?
I'm sorry to report that the 1791 password did not fix the Nav lockout-in-motion issue. The password was accepted, and didn't give any indication of error, but it didn't change anything in the Nav either. That's what stuns me here. Clearly there are clever/advanced features of the Nav like the "I'm hungry" feature. As a Programmer, that says to me people put a lot of thought into how this Nav is going to be used. Instead of "Show POI food", you can say "I'm hungry". So if they didn't just...- dstrickler

When you're in the Diag mode of the Nav, there is a setting to upload a new Nav system (I assume this is firmware) into the Nav system. Clearly this is there just for the dealers, but I would guess you bring the car into a dealer and they do the upload for you.- dstrickler
