iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!

IOS5 is working well in my 2010 LR4 I can get Pandora and Radio Paradise to play uninterrupted. However, I must let the iPhone play some local music, and then, without stopping it, fire up Pandora or Radio Paradise. Seems to work well, and it didn't work under iOS4.

    Snow mode

Snow mode in Boston Being that Boston has seemed closer to Syracuse this winter, I've had my LR4 in and out of Snow mode constantly, and I agree with the other posters, any snow is fine. All the modes (except for the last one for rock climbing) as far as I know, are about changing the...

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!

Deal will replace the cable under warranty I spoke with them yesterday, and they said I had to bring in the entire car so they could verify it was a cable that needed replacing. That's the bed news. The good news is they said they have the cable in stock and it should be covered under warrenty.

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!

iPhone cable broke after less than a year ... and we only drive about 10k miles a year. Very disappointing. It will charge the phone, but both my phone and my wife's give a "device error" on the LR4 when connected. Time to hunt down a new cable.

    LR4 On The Beach Advice

Driving on sand advice I drive all summer on the beach, in a number of vehicles, and this advice above is spot on. The sand on our beach is soft, and thus easier to get stuck in. One thing I would note is that the LR4's Sand Mode is for "hard packed sand" according to the manual. When on...

    2011 LR4 - Space for kids & Rearseat entertainment

Skip the entertainment package We have a 4 and 6 year old. Instead of buying the $2,500 DVD player (that's really all it is), we bought two iPads, and the kids can watch movies, play games, etc. And, and this is a big and, you can take them out of the car, when when you're not driving, they are...

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!

HowTo on Pandora and the iPhone Try this vhousad: 1. Make sure your iPhone is running iOS4. My iPhone is a 3GS 2. Plug it into the cable made for the iPhone under the arm rest. The LR4 will recognise it, and may start playing it's iPod music selection. 3. Press the Home button on the...

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!

Folowup - still working fine When playing Pandora, the volume works just fine from the car, but no other controls work (not a surprise and a reasonable outcome) and the display shows the first track from my iPod app. When playing the iPod app of my iPhone, all controls (volume, skip track...

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!

I just finished a single car ride, and Pandora worked just fine in my US purchased LR4. Only the volume seemed unavailable, and thus controlled by the LR4. I was able to navigate around the iPhone, choose Pandora, and it played just fine. As this was an initial test, don't count on...

    iPhone via cable

I have an HSE (not the plus with the towing) and have the coiled cable. While I do get the "Airplane" mode warning (yes, I find it irritating too), the reason you can't play Pandora, is that the car is telling the iPhone to go into "remote control" mode, and be an iPod. The iPhone is happy to...

    Bluetooth

I have an LR4 (purchased in April) and I have the same issues. My wife's 3GS always connects, and seems to work fine. With my 3GS I need to "connect" it each time I am in the car. Very rarely it seems to connect itself. I have very little bluetooth experience, so I don't know what's causing...

    LR4 pricing (as of May)

Just find out the dealer price for your car. You can google it, and you'll find out quickly. Even if a dealer sells for it for "cost" (in theory, making zero dollars), they will still be making money through various methods, typically in incentives from LR. Sometimes it's cash on each vehicle...

Nav can't change destination when driving?

I'm sorry to report that the 1791 password did not fix the Nav lockout-in-motion issue. The password was accepted, and didn't give any indication of error, but it didn't change anything in the Nav either. I've done some testing, and I've found the Nav lockout is related to speed, or really...

    Lr4 Nav?

That's what stuns me here. Clearly there are clever/advanced features of the Nav like the "I'm hungry" feature. As a Programmer, that says to me people put a lot of thought into how this Nav is going to be used. Instead of "Show POI food", you can say "I'm hungry". So if they didn't just...

    Lr4 Nav?

When you're in the Diag mode of the Nav, there is a setting to upload a new Nav system (I assume this is firmware) into the Nav system. Clearly this is there just for the dealers, but I would guess you bring the car into a dealer and they do the upload for you.
