Yes I'm running them along with at least one other active member here. They're what I'd consider the "stock" size for 18" KO2's. I'm running them as you describe on Compo 18's and there's no rubbing at any height full-lock and no problem with the spare even with the trailer hitch plugged in (I...
No problem Dan. When I first installed the tires I inflated them to the 44psi front 51psi rear I had calculated, but backed off a couple psi because it was riding really rough. Since then, the tires must have broken in through heat cycles and mechanical load, because I have them back up to 44psi...
In other words, the Compo's fit better. Because of the wider offset of the LR3 18/spacer combo, people are having rubbing issues where others with compo's don't using the same tire.
Also, I believe you need to shave down the calipers a bit with the LR3/spacer combo.
If you tow, the clearance behind the spare for the hitch receiver is a factor. Obviously many are making the 265/65's and 285/60's fit deflated, but here's how close mine is with a 1" smaller 265/60.
No that's incorrect. When going from a standard load (SL) tire to D or E-load rated tire you have to increase pressures for a given load because of the construction of the tire. The heavier construction necessitates higher pressures to maintain the physical form of the heavier, stiffer...
For the KO2 265/60R18's I wouldn't do anything less than 50psi for the rear, maybe 52psi. You can't really go too high (up to 80psi), but at some point the ride will get really stiff.
For other sizes and tires, you have to crunch the numbers for your load and the tires rated capacities at a...
I installed my new Compo's and BFG KO2's in size 265/60R18 last week and love them so far. I started with them at 44psi front / 50psi rear which made for a jittery ride over broken pavement, so I lowered each value 2psi to 42/48 and the ride became much smoother. Amazing what difference such a...
Well I installed the yellow Philips LED H11's fog lights over the weekend with no issues at all. They plug right in and I didn't get any error messages. I don't have a light meter, but they're really bright, with a very similar throw compared to the original halogen H11's. Recommended.
Here...
That's my understanding of other systems as well, such as BMW where you set the pressure and then reset the system to "tare" it. Can you reset the TPMS system in the LR4? I haven't been able to figure out how if so.
Well 5 days into ownership of my 2013 LR4 and during an extended period of rain yesterday I noticed water splashed all over my passenger side door panel and seat. I was reversing and hit the brakes when I saw this, which caused a stream of water to pour out of the plastic "airbag" plug and from...
