HI everyone,
Looking for some insight on my 2000 RR
4.0 engine.
A few days back my engine overheated.
Just took it on a 2500 mile trip with out a single issue. Got it back to maine and was driving around town and within 10 seconds the temp spiked to red.
Mechanic Said it was definately a head gasket. Once he took it apart he said the head gaskets were fine. BUT he sent the heads in to get checked out?
Anyone have any feed back or questions I need to figure this thing out!!
Thanks,
Clarke

Sounds to me like you got low on antifreeze, or you got an air pocket common issue with the older rovers. Also a pain to bleed the air out of the system.
